El Dorado rums are made at the historic Guyana Demerara plant. The name “el dorado” is said to be from “the old Amerindian word for ‘land of many waters.'” El Dorado 21 Year rum is, they declare, “one of the world’ greatest rum drinking experiences.” It is openly made for rum connoisseurs and recommended drunk neat. The rums are selected from Versailles wooden pot still and aged for at least 21 years in oak.
Copper color. Rich mocha, toffee, pipe tobacco, and brown spice aromas. A rich, satiny and vibrant entry leads to a smooth, dry-yet-fruity full body of toffee, coffee, and brown spice flavors. Finishes with a seemingly endless, sweet nutty fade with evolving layers of tobacco, chocolate, and spice. A monumental aged rum that is one of the world’s greatest rum drinking experiences.
