Light crimson. Smells sweet and light. Very forward and rather soft but lots of fun. Fine tannins perceptible only on the very end of the palate.
2009 Vintage Scores:
Nicely toasty, with vanilla and espresso notes up front, but the core of raspberry, blackberry and boysenberry fruit rushes in behind it, with a long, licorice-filled finish. Should settle in nicely. Best from 2012 through 2017. 12,500 cases made.
