Basil Hayden’s is unequaled in that it utilizes twice as much rye in it as the other bourbons in the Collection. Enriched by a hint of peppermint, it impresses with notes of pepper balanced by slight citrus overtones, and a spicy, warming finish. Aged eight years at a relatively mild 80 proof, Basil Hayden’s has a broad appeal and is equally enjoyable alone or in cocktails such as a Juicy Basil and Basil Bubbly.
Staff Review:
When I’m in the mood for bourbon, but I want something a little lighter, I go to Basil Hayden’s. Oaky, with slight pepper notes, and some darker sweeter flavor. Basil Hayden soft and balanced, but with depth has a very wide appeal for those of you trying to enjoy with company!
While hanging with company I like to have a positive vibe too. And nothing gets a better vibe for me than “Friends & Family” by Fortunate Youth.
