Here we have a single cask of rum from Hampden Estate, a famous Jamaican distillery located in Trelawny Parish. This molasses based rum was fermented for at least 2 weeks, distilled, and then aged for 4 years in Jamaica in an ex-bourbon cask before being bottled at cask strength with no additives. This rum is of the HGML marque, which denotes an ester count of 1000-1100 gr/hLPA.
“Cask No. 137: Vibrant and savory with a lush palate of passionfruit, apricot and cedar wood. The lasting finish brings in notes of acacia honey and fresh ginger as it fades into roasted cacao.”
