Goldschläger is an Italian cinnamon schnapps with tiny flakes of 24-carat gold leaf flakes suspended in the clear liqueur. Goldschläger takes its name from German word meaning ‘gold beater’ referring to gold leaf makers who hammered and worked bars of gold into wafer-thin sheets.
Nose: Pungent sweet fragrant cinnamon.
Palate: Syrupy sweet, cinnamon spice with fiery chilli-like heat and cracked black pepper prickle.
Finish: Long, hot spicy black pepper and cinnamon.
