Effie’s Nutcakes are a 4th generation family recipe with origins in Cape Breton, Nova Scotia. This recipe eventually found its way to the Specialty Food Awards, claiming a prize a few years ago. They have an irresistible balanced sweetness and are made with Southern pecans, stone-ground whole wheat, and wildflower honey.
Pair with a rambunctious blue, like Chiriboga and top with a sour cherry jam.
