The wine is made up of 100% Chardonnay aged a small part in barrel (about 30%) and the remainder in tank on the lees of viognier from one of Jean-Marc’s other cuvées. This vinification allows for a really complex wine of weight and aromatics without the overt oak tones that permeate so many other Chardonnays at this price.
For several vintages now, it has represented one of the best white wine values coming from anywhere in the south of France.
