Located in the heart of Provence in Courthézon between Châteauneuf-du-Pape and Orange, the Château du Mourre du Tendre is a family property with a history of 7 generations of passionate winemakers. Since 2013, Paul (son of Florence and grandson of Jacques) took the helm and is now continuing the family business with the same drive for the pursuit of excellence that he learned alongside his grandfather.
2017 Vintage Scores:
A blend of Grenache (90%) and Mourvèdre (10%) fermented and matured entirely in stainless steel, this perfumed, blossomy red shines a spotlight on lustrous boysenberry and raspberry flavors. Sourced entirely from sandy soils, it’s full-bodied but oh-so-soft and airy. Fine, feathery tannins make it gorgeous in youth, but it’s concentrated enough to drink well through 2030.
