A harmonious union of two indigenous Sicilian grapes, this Frappato/Nerello Mascalese blend exhibits notes of wild berries and spices with a refreshing acidity and marked minerality. Pair with both fish and meat as well as slightly aged cheeses.
Staff Review:
This is a super interesting wine that would be a good pick for a Pinot Noir drinker, but could also be a pleasant surprise for a Cabernet drinker. Red berries and sweet spice on the nose with black cherry and plum on the palate. Medium tannins with medium acidity. Pairs perfectly with ricotta, strawberries and a balsamic drizzle.
