There is just enough sweetness to excel as an after-dinner wine, but its long, dry finish also makes it work beautifully with food. A sweet spice box of aromas orange peel, cinnamon, clove segue onto tobacco and burnt toast flavors. A wave of acidity sweeps in and the finish evokes iodine, mineral and grilled nuts. Fine length.
